1. Our Unalienable Rights

a) Against the Lawless ICE

I will do everything in my power, within the bounds of the law, to prevent Immigrant and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from operating in Bentonville, or anywhere for that matter.

In Arkansas, sancturay cities are explicitly banned by state law.

Where ever I legally can, I will obstruct the operations of ICE.

b) Accountable Police

Whenever an officer violates a citizen's or non-citizen's constitutional rights, I will do everything in my power to punish and get rid of that officer.

Too many incidents in this country have occured where officers of the law violate someone, and as punishment, they only recieve additionaly training, paid vacation, or nothing at all. This is disgusting. Law enforcement should protect our rights, not breach them. When an accusation of a breach appears, it should be taken seriously, as breaches do happen, and when a violation by officers is determined to be true, it should be dealt with complete sympathy to the public, not the police department or any of its employees.

2. Subsidized and Afforable Housing

I will do everything in my power to have 30% of the city of Bentonville's revenue be devoted to housing, until every person is affordably housed.

30% of Bentonville's 2025 yearly budget was approximately $75,714,000. The cheapest possible cost to make a residental unit in 2026 is roughly $210,000. With that $75,714,000 in funds, 360 units can be made in one year, and with state and federal grants even more units can be made annually.

I will fight for a new Housing Department, with 30% of the city's revenue devoted to it. This Housing Department will oversee plans to build residental units — with the bare necessities of living quarters: seperation from the elements; running water; drainage; electricity; internet; and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning — to give to applicants for said units, and establish condominium owners associations (COAs) for each condominium they create. A waiting list will be made, where applicants are prioritized in the following order: those who work in Bentonville, those who live in Bentonville, those who work near Bentonville, and those who live near Bentonville. In addition, applicants in those four categories will be prioritized based off firstly, who doesn't own a house — especially the homeless — and secondly, who is the youngest. Applicants which recieve a unit will not be aloud to recieve another, and will be required to sign a contract ensuring they will not sell the unit to any entity but the city.

In addition, I will fight for more zoning of town houses to prevent landlords from building more sources of rent to parasitize off of and to use the city's limited land more effectively.

3. A Walkable City and Public Transportation

I will do everything in my power to turn Bentonville into a walkable city with publicly funded buses, if no other public body will sufficiently meet this need of the city.

4. Publically Funded Childcare

I will do everything in my power to devote city funds to child care for children aged 3 to 4, if the Bentonville school district does not sufficiently meet this need of the city.

5. Resident Avoiding Taxes

I will do everything in my power to shift the burden of taxes onto corperations, not regular residents, though I am not talking about extremely wealthy residents.

6. A Jobs Board

I will do everything in my power to establish a city Jobs Board.

I will fight for a staffed Jobs Board that not only lists available job oppurtunities, but to ensure the largest amount of people find a career — preferable a union career — with a living wage, guides and alerts applicants in relation to employment, training, and college oppurtunities; provides training and certifications; works directly with unions, employers, and colleges; and provides resume workshops, interview coaching, career counseling, skill assessments, etc.; etc. This Jobs Board would prioritize residents and the youth.
